A rare chance to make a living national monument your home. De Zaanse Herinnering, a detached Zaan house with bell gable dating from 1698, is now available to rent directly on the Grachtenpad in Zaandam. Its green timber façade and characterful interior strike a perfect balance between historic atmosphere and modern comfort, creating a home that feels lived-in and welcoming from the very first day.

Daily life revolves around the cosy Zaan kitchen, equipped with modern built-in appliances, and the living room with its view over the canal. Upstairs, the dreamy dormer bedroom offers an intimate, peaceful retreat, while the private roof terrace with canal view is the place for morning coffee or a quiet evening by the water, far from the bustle yet right in the heart of the Zaanstreek.

The house offers 135 m² of living space on a plot of 210 m², with three bedrooms, a bathroom with a modern finish and two separate toilets. Carefully maintained and full of authentic detail, it suits a couple, a small family or professionals looking for a home with genuine character.
