On the edge of the forest at La Roche-en-Ardenne, with views over rolling hills, Maison Sous-Bois is a holiday house designed with young families in mind. Built in 2021 in timber and stone, it pairs contemporary architecture with the warmth of the Ardennes, offering 140 m² of living space for up to six guests, set within a fully fenced garden of 2,200 m².

The open-plan living area, with exposed beams and a stone wall framing the fireplace, is where everyone comes together. Sliding glass doors open straight onto the deck, so indoor and outdoor life flow naturally into one another. The kitchen comes with a dishwasher, and fast Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected — handy for checking the weather before a walk in the woods.

The three bedrooms suit every member of the family: a master bedroom for the parents, a bunk room the children will love and a separate guest room. Two bathrooms keep busy mornings running smoothly, and a baby cot and high chair are provided. Outside, a play tower with slide and swings awaits the little ones, while string lights bring the garden to life in the evening.

Maison Sous-Bois is available at € 245 / night, with a minimum stay of 2 nights and a cleaning fee of € 85. A forest path starts right at the garden gate, and an EV charger is on hand for electric cars. Thanks to the fully fenced garden, parents can relax while the children play.
